Vehicle Collision involving Pedestrians on Petaluma Blvd N near B Street Resulted in Major Injuries 
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at approximately 1:22 pm, personnel from the Petaluma Police Department and Petaluma Fire Department responded to a vehicle collision involving two pedestrians in the area of Petaluma Blvd N and B Street. Community members called to report two pedestrians were struck by an SUV while crossing Petaluma Blvd N. Petaluma Police Officers and Petaluma Fire Department Paramedics arrived within minutes.
Both pedestrians involved in the collision were transported to local hospitals for treatment, with one of the pedestrians suffering life threatening injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing, but preliminarily it was determined the pedestrians were crossing Petaluma Blvd N in a marked crosswalk when the driver of a southbound SUV collided into them. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Currently, there is no indication alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
