...RED FLAG WARNING FOR SCATTERED LIGHTNING TODAY AND TOMORROW... .Scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening across southeast Oregon and far southwest Idaho. Some of the storms will contain little rainfall, gusty outflow winds, and combined with hot temperatures and low humidity will lead to critical fire weather conditions. The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 1 AM MDT Friday.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zone 426 Southern Highlands.
* TIMING...From 2 PM this afternoon to 1 AM MDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Isolated gusts up to 50 mph.
