Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who shoplifted two power saws valued at $3,000 from a construction equipment company on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
The incident, captured on surveillance video, occurred at approximately 5:02 p.m. when the suspect entered Globo Equipment Solutions in the 500 block of Ferry Street. An employee asked the suspect if he needed help, and when he declined, the suspect grabbed two Stihl concrete demo saws, which cost $1,500 apiece. He walked out of the store with the equipment and drove away in a silver Honda. The suspect, described as dark-skinned, wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap.
