Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 7/3/2025 at approximately 2340 hours, his deputies responded to a motorcycle crash at the roundabout on Gumwood and Redfield in Milton Township, Cass County.

Angela Buchanan (58 years old) of Elkhart, IN, was headed north on Gumwood when a deer ran into the road and she tried to avoid it.  She lost control and hit the curb.

Buchanan's injuries were non-life-threatening.  She was not wearing a helmet.  Buchanan went to South Bend Memorial Hospital by SMCAS Ambulance.

Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.  The Edwardsburg Police Department assisted the Sheriff's Office.  The incident remains under investigation.
