INCIDENT: California Vehicle Code 10851(a)-Grand Theft of an Automobile, Penal Code 32-Accessory to Crime

SUSPECT(S): #1: 15-year-old resident of Irvine, California,
#2: 15-year-old resident of Irvine, California

SUMMARY: On July 3, 2025, deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to a theft of a Surron electric motorcycle at Veterans Park. The 15-year-old suspects arranged to purchase the Surron electric motorcycle from the victim on Facebook Marketplace. When they arrived, one suspect handed the victim an envelope filled with paper and fled the scene on the victim’s Surron. The second suspect followed on his electric motorcycle.
The victim had an Apple AirTag on his Surron, which deputies were able to track to the area of 4200 Chino Hills Pkwy. Deputies saturated the area and later located both suspects in the Commons shopping center located on Chino Hills Pkwy. and Ramona Ave. Both suspects were apprehended and positively identified.
