ONE INJURED IN TWO-VEHICLE CRASH 
Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on July 4, 2025 at approximately 2119 hours, Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Shore Acres Rd. and Shultz Ct., Cassopolis, Penn Township, Cass County, Michigan.
The investigation showed that a golf cart being driven by a juvenile was attempting to make a left hand turn from Shultz Ct., onto Shore Acres Rd., when they were hit by a pickup truck driven by a juvenile, driving east on Shore Acres Rd. The Golf cart had another juvenile passenger who was released from the scene.
The driver of the golf cart was transported by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Not all parties involved were wearing seat belts.
Assisting agencies were Cassopolis PD, and SMCAS Ambulance.
The incident remains under investigation.
