Fourth of July Enforcement Operation Confiscates 900 Pounds of Illegal and Dangerous Fireworks

INCIDENT: Red, White, and Safe/ Illegal Fireworks Enforcement
LOCATION: Unincorporated County Areas of Fontana, Rialto, Bloomington, Lytle Creek, Rosena Ranch, San Antonio Heights, and Mt. Baldy
SUMMARY: In conjunction with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department's 4th of July mission of Red, White, and Safe, the Fontana Sheriff’s Station deployed extra personnel during the holiday weekend to combat illegal/dangerous fireworks in the communities we serve. Officers from the San Bernardino County Fire Marshal’s Office partnered with our deputies and conducted proactive patrol, targeting illegal fireworks. The teams also responded to calls for service regarding fireworks.
On Friday, July 4, 2025, the teams issued four administrative citations, which included fines of $1,250 per violation. The teams also confiscated approximately 900 pounds of illegal/dangerous fireworks, with a street value of about $7,000.
