Flood Advisory until 08:00PM

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bandera, Kerr, Real and Uvalde.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 440 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Vanderpool, Lost Maples State Natural Area, Rio Frio, Utopia, Garner State Park, Concan, Reagan Wells, Kerr Wildlife Management Area and Knippa. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
