Santa Maria Police make arrest for drug possession and sales following a traffic stop.

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at approximately 6:30 PM, officers with the Santa Maria Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of Smith and Morrison Streets due to a violation of traffic laws. During the stop, officers determined that the driver, identified as Victor Ricardo Garza Pulido, 28, of Santa Maria, had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Subsequent to the arrest, officers conducted a search of the vehicle, which led to the discovery of approximately 2 pounds of methamphetamine and approximately 1 ½ ounces of fentanyl. As a result of the findings, Garza Pulido was arrested on charges of Transportation and Sales of Narcotics.

Garza Pulido was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, where he remains in custody pending further proceedings.
