Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
At approximately 7:05 a.m., the suspect walked up to the victim’s vehicle, parked at Sunset Avenue near South Orange Avenue, and used an object to break the front passenger-side window before removing loose chains from the vehicle’s center console.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a tall, slim, Black male wearing a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and white sneakers.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
