It's that time of year again! National Night Out is just a month away. How will you spend it? Will you be joining us for our free public event at the King Center? Or will you be hosting or attending a block event on your street? Either way, we'll have staff and resources available to ensure that together, we celebrate America's Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 5th.

BLOCK EVENTS
If you plan on hosting an event on your street for you and your neighbors, you can register it here: https://www.cityofsanmateo.org/1781/National-Night-Out. By registering your event, we'll add you to our list of blocks visits to ensure you get a brief visit by a PD representative to talk to you and your neighbors about whatever you wish to discuss.

These block events usually consist of block parties, ice cream socials in a driveway, backyard bbq's, or whatever you and your neighbors want to come up with to strengthen our police-community relationships. Block events should be designated for a time between 6-9pm. Officers will be assigned numerous events to visit during this time frame. We will be able to provide safety resource information to registrants to share with attendees. Registration is currently open, but closes on July 28th. If you do not have a block event on your street, feel free to join us at the King Center from 5:30-7:30pm.

FREE PUBLIC EVENT
The King Center event is a free public event where you can visit with our officers, check out public safety vehicles, obtain resource information, sign your kids up for San Mateo PAL, visit with McGruff the Crime Dog, enjoy some music, and possibly win a raffle prize. This event will be in the parking lot of the King Center (725 Monte Diablo Ave.) from 5:30-7:30pm. All are welcome.
