TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Street Closures Announced for Drive-Up and Go Food Distribution - Wednesday, July 9, 2025
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s Drive Up and Go Food Distribution event:
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Wednesday, July 9, 2025
• North 6th Street between Franklin Street and Delavan Avenue
• Monteith Avenue between North 6th Street and North 7th Street
The food drive begins at 10 a.m. and will be held at North 6th Street and Monteith Avenue.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
