The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Flood Watch for Hudson County and the surrounding area until 2 a.m. tomorrow morning. Thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area with rainfall amounts up to 2 inches per hour possible at times.
Hoboken’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) encourages residents to exercise caution as any intense rainfall greater than 0.8 inches per hour could result in flooding in low-lying areas.
OEM will deploy barricades at flood-prone intersections, and residents are encouraged to avoid these areas if possible. Please do not drive around barricades or travel through flooded intersections.

Due to the forecast, tonight’s Americana Family Jamboree concert at Shipyard Park is rescheduled to Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Shipyard Park.
