A Code Red has been called for the City of New Brunswick for today, Wednesday July 9. An emergency cooling center for residents who are without shelter from the heat is available from 12 noon until 8:30 p.m. at 6 Kirkpatrick Street.
The City of New Brunswick Dignity Center is also available for our most vulnerable populations at Memorial Stadium. The Stadium is located on Joyce Kilmer Avenue behind the New Brunswick Middle School at 1125 Livingston Avenue.
The showers are offered on a first come, first-served basis weekly (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2 shifts per day 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.)
Men and women welcomed. Towels, wash cloths, hygiene kits, etc. will be provided.
