During the early morning hours of Tuesday July 8, 2025, Burr Ridge Officers were called to the area of 87th and County Line Road for a report of suspicious subjects walking onto a resident's driveway. It is presumed that these subjects were looking to possibly commit thefts from unlocked vehicles on the driveway. The subjects were scared off by a motion activated light on the exterior of the residence.

Responding Officers located the offending vehicle which ultimately fled from them at a high rate of speed and was last seen entering on Interstate 55. 
 
The Police Department would like to remind the residents to keep their vehicles locked and exterior lights on to help prevent this type of crime from occurring in the Village of Burr Ridge. 
 
Anyone who observes suspicious activity is asked to call 911 immediately.
