Update: Body Recovered from Fox River near Leicht Memorial Park; Foul Play Not Suspected
The Green Bay Police Department continues to investigate the death of a 70-year-old Green Bay man whose body was recently recovered from the Fox River; however, at this time, there is no evidence to indicate that foul play was involved.
The name of the deceased is being withheld at the request of the next of kin.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, police were dispatched to Leicht Memorial Park at approximately 4:20 p.m. after a passerby reported finding a body in the water. The body was recovered around 4:38 p.m.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department assisted police at the scene.
