INCIDENT: VC2800.2- Felony Reckless Evading
LOCATION: Foothill Boulevard / East Avenue, Fontana
SUSPECT(S): Cody Price, Age 31, Resident of Fontana
SUMMARY: On Monday, July 7, 2025, at 7:09 a.m., while on proactive patrol, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed as it exited a shopping center parking lot. Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop when the vehicle fled and led deputies on a vehicle pursuit through Rancho Cucamonga and into the city of Fontana.
The pursuit terminated when the vehicle collided into a parked vehicle in a residential neighborhood. The suspect, and sole occupant of the vehicle, later identified as Cody Price, ran from the vehicle, jumped multiple fences, and hid from deputies.
K-9 Boots and her handler, Deputy Storm, located Price hiding in a trash bin in the backyard of a residence. Price was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for VC2800.2- Felony Reckless Evading and several outstanding felony arrest warrants.
