* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Anson, Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond, Scotland, Stanly, Vance and Warren.

* WHEN...Through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms capable of producing torrential rainfall over already saturated soils may result in flooding through Thursday night. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
