Santa Maria Police make arrest in July 4th homicide. 
This is an update to the homicide that occurred on 7/4/25 at 2322 hours in the 300 block of West Lolita:
On 7/4/25 Santa Maria Police Detectives began investigating the murder of 25-year-old Santa Maria resident, Brandon Cabrera. Detectives eventually identified the suspect, who was already in custody at Santa Maria Juvenile Hall.
On 7/10/25 the suspect was booked for murder and related charges.
