Bonnie Burn Road – Blasting at Blue Hill 
As part of the preparation for the upcoming development, Bonnie Burn Road Redevelopment Urban Renewal, LLC is conducting controlled blasting operations to safely excavate rock from the site. These operations are being performed by Maurer & Scott Drilling and Blasting, the licensed contractor responsible for facilitating rock excavation for the project.
All blasting activities are being conducted in full compliance with the New Jersey Administrative Code (NJAC) regulations, including NJAC 21:1A-13 8 and NJAC 12:190-7.11, 7.25 and 7.26, which govern the safety standards and operational procedures for explosive use in the state.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE
- 1st day of blasting is scheduled TUESDAY, 7/15/25
- Blasting may occur between 1100 AM and 1 PM
- Blasting completion Friday 9/5/25 based on current schedule and contingent on weather conditions
- Blasting is expected 3 to 5 times each week or approximately every other day
