On July 11, 2025, at approximately 7:28 AM, Hillsborough Police officers responded to a reported residential burglary on Inverness Way in Hillsborough. The reporting party stated that upon arriving at the property, they found the front door open and noticed that items inside the home had been rummaged through.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the suspects had likely used a pry bar to force entry through a rear door. It appears they later exited the residence through the front door.

A witness reported hearing the victim’s burglary alarm activate at approximately 2:45 AM on the same date. Shortly afterward, the witness heard unknown individuals walking and talking in the driveway. The witness then observed a dark-colored sedan leaving the victim’s driveway and traveling southbound on Inverness Road toward Braemar Drive at approximately 2:51 AM.
