The Village of New Lenox advises that Veterans Parkway will be closed to thru traffic today, July 12, due to an event in the Village Commons. Food Fight: Taco Fest will be taking place today from 11am to 8pm, and details can be found at newlenox.net/foodfight. Old Plank Trail Community Bank and the New Lenox Public Library will be accessible via Independence Blvd. The suggested alternate route is Route 30 to Nelson to Haven.
