On the evening of July 11, 2025, at approximately 7:30 PM, officers from the Santa Maria Police Department's Gang Suppression Team conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Morrison and Oakley Streets. During the investigation, officers discovered that the driver, a 22-year-old male Santa Maria resident, was in possession of a loaded firearm.
The individual was arrested without incident and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on weapon-related charges.
