INCIDENT: Traffic Enforcement

SUMMARY: On Saturday, July 12, 2025, deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station deployed additional personnel for an organized traffic enforcement operation aimed at ensuring community safety. They were assisted by the California Highway Patrol and the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station. Deputies and officers conducted a large-scale traffic stop involving approximately 30 to 40 motorcycles for various violations of the California Vehicle Code.
Before the traffic stop, the sheriff's aviation unit observed around 40 motorcycle riders engaging in reckless behavior, including performing wheelies, blocking roadways, and stopping traffic. During the stop and subsequent investigation, 15 riders were identified and issued citations for several offenses, such as driving without a license and driving without an M1 motorcycle license. Additionally, one individual with outstanding warrants was taken into custody. One motorcycle was towed and stored due to registration violations. The other riders were released at the scene with verbal warnings.
