FFWEWX The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Kinney County in south central Texas... Northern Maverick County in south central Texas...

* Until 100 PM CDT.

* At 1009 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Spofford, Quemado, Darling, Anacacho, Radar Base, Normandy and Laughlin AFB Aux Field. Flood waters potentially impacting the intersection of Del Rio Blvd and Silver Bridge Road in near Quemado. Flood waters are also threatening structures along Highway 277 south of Silver Dollar Road to FM1908 near Quemado.

* AFFECTED AREAS: KINNEY, TX ... MAVERICK, TX
