Assault Suspects Located and Arrested on Multiple Charges

LOCATION: 6000 block of Monte Vista Road, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Keetsa Davis, 43-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms
Danny Thompson, 48-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at approximately 1:41 a.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station investigated an assault with a firearm that had just occurred at a residence at the 6000 block of Monte Vista Road in Twentynine Palms. Investigators determined Keetsa Davis threw rocks which struck the victim, and Danny Thompson brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victim. When the victim tried to leave, Thompson and Davis vandalized the victim's vehicle. Deputies were unable to locate Thompson or Davis, and an arrest warrant was issued.
On Saturday, July 11, 2025, at approximately 9:24 a.m., deputies learned Davis had returned to her home at the 6000 block of Monte Vista Road and went there to take her into custody for her outstanding arrest warrant. Once on scene, deputies located two vehicles, a Polaris RZR and a flatbed trailer, that had been reported stolen from a residence nearby. A detective from the Morongo Basin Station responded to assist deputies with the investigation and served a search warrant for the residence. Davis and Thomson were found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a loaded firearm, ammunition, and firearm parts. Both were arrested and transported to the Morongo Basin Jail.
Davis was booked for violation of PC 245(a)(1) -assault with a deadly weapon, and PC594(b)(1) -felony vandalism. Thompson was booked for violation of PC 496d(a) -possession of stolen vehicle, PC 29800(a)(1) -felon in possession of a firearm, and PC 30305(a)(1) -felon in possession of ammunition. Davis and Thompson were both transferred to the West Valley Detention Center, where Davis is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, and Thompson is being held in lieu of $130,000 bail. Additional investigative follow-up is being conducted.
