This Thursday, Morristown will once again host the Verizon Corporate Classic 5K road race event.  The event features thousands of runners who will negotiate a course that will travel through the neighborhoods off of Mills and Early Sts., as well as the Cutler Park neighborhood, map attached.  The race is designed primarily as an opportunity for co-workers to get together to enjoy an evening of fun and fitness in a spirit of camaraderie with their fellow employees by participating as a member of their company's corporate running team.  This course will be closed to vehicle traffic during the race, which is slated to begin at 7:30 pm.  The road closures ensure the safety of the participants and will be staffed by uniformed police officers from the Morristown Bureau of Police and other surrounding jurisdictions.  The closures will affect Early St., Mills St., Sussex Ave., and several off-shoots of those roadways.  We anticipate the entire event being complete at approximately 9 pm, with only Early St. remaining closed for the breakdown of the start and finish line.  Early St. will be closed at 5 pm, Atno Ave. and Clinton Pl. will also be closed at approximately 5 pm.  Please seek alternative routes if traveling in this area on Thursday.  For additional information, please reference the official site of the Verizon Corporate Classic at:
