Beginning the afternoon on Wednesday, July 16th, the intersections of Market Street and James Georgeson Avenue and Market Street and Broad Street will be closed until Thursday after paving work is completed.

These intersections are not safe to drive through. Please avoid these intersections and use alternate routes.

On Thursday, July 17th, at approximately 7:00 am, the City’s contractor Upstate Companies will be paving the intersections along Market Street at James Georgeson Avenue, Broad Street and Chestnut Street Extension. This work will occur between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. Some sidewalks will be closed at times and there will be no on street parking in the immediate work areas.

Please avoid these areas and use alternate routes and expect delays.

Flaggers, temporary signage and barricades will be in place. Please exercise extreme caution and obey all traffic control devices.

The City will issue periodic project updates or changes via Nixle PSA as needed.
