Public Safety Alert: E-Bike Disturbance in Downtown Hinsdale
A message from Mayor Grasso and Chief of Police Loftus
Last night, at approximately 10:20 p.m., a group of individuals riding e-bikes and e-mini-bikes created a disturbance in Downtown Hinsdale by committing multiple traffic violations and harassing motorists.
The group was later observed traveling south on County Line Road toward I-55, again disregarding traffic laws. A video capturing part of the incident is attached for reference.
We urge residents to call 9-1-1 immediately if they witness similar unsafe or unlawful behavior. Parents are encouraged to speak with their children about the importance of riding e-bikes safely and in compliance with the law. Anyone found violating local ordinances or state traffic laws may be cited, and their vehicle may be impounded.
