WHO TO CALL IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY 
With a VPSO on island now, the public may be wondering who to call in the event of an emergency. If you have an emergency and are in need of EMS, Fire, or law enformecent contact 911. 911 is forwarded to the Alaska State Trooper Dispatch Center in Fairbanks. The dispatch center will get ahold of the proper first responder to respond to your emergency.
Benefits of calling 911 are:
- All calls are documented and recorded.
- 911 can contact the law enforcemnt, EMS or fire personnel depending on your type of emergency.
