Local Flood Assistance Update

American Red Cross Relief Station Open at Sonora City Hall
Sonora, Texas – The City of Sonora is working closely with the American Red Cross to provide assistance to residents impacted by the devastating flood event on July 13, 2025.

Earlier today, the City received a call from American Red Cross team members who are currently in Sonora conducting door-to-door outreach in flood-affected neighborhoods. After assessing the situation, the decision was made around 2:00 p.m. to relocate their operations indoors to City Hall in order to offer services in a more centralized and controlled environment.

  • Trash bags and tarps
  • Muck-out kits for heavy cleaning
The American Red Cross team will be stationed at City Hall (201 E. Main, Sonora, Texas) today until 6:00 p.m. and will return tomorrow, Thursday, July 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to continue providing assistance.
