| Narrative: |
On 07/10/25, at approximately 8:23 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 2900 block of Crescent Way in Thousand Oaks in reference to a stabbing that occurred. When deputies arrived, they found a male subject inside the residence suffering from stab wounds. The stabbing victim was transported to Los Robles Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation revealed Miguel Cano stabbed the victim with a knife and fled the scene in a vehicle with the murder weapon. The vehicle Cano fled the scene in has been recovered; however, Cano is currently outstanding and his whereabouts are unknown.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau assumed responsibility for the investigation and are actively investigating the incident as a homicide. Investigators are seeking assistance from the public and are urging anyone with information related to Miguel Cano’s whereabouts to contact Detective Katie Torres at 805-384-4740 or Detective Robert DeLaCerda at 805-384-4724.
