1. Attempted Homicide (0758) 800 Block of West Eight Mile Road, Bear Creek District
Officers responded to the area on a report of people shot. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim, 55, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located deceased at the scene. Detectives responded for the investigation.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0845) 700 Block of East Hazelton Avenue, Seaport District
The male victim, 49, got into an argument with the known suspect in the listed area. The suspect struck the victim with a bludgeon and fled. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at the scene. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1111) 1400 Block of Dena Court, Civic District
The female victims, 45 and 73, were inside an area residence when the known suspect battered one victim, pointed a firearm at both victims, and threatened them. The suspect fled but was later located and arrested by officers. The firearm was recovered. ARRESTED: Samuel Belasco, 48, for assault with a deadly weapon, battery, elder abuse, and weapon charges.
