Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall may produce flash flooding in areas that have been very wet recently. Storm totals may exceed 2 to 3 inches.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Edgecombe, Forsyth, Franklin, Granville, Guilford, Halifax, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Orange, Person, Randolph, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne and Wilson.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
