Escondido Police Investigating Fatal Vehicle Collision
 
ESCONDIDO – On July 17th, 2025, at about 9:39 PM, Escondido Police and Fire responded to a 911 call at a residence on the 1600 block of South Maple Street in Escondido.  Upon arrival, it was discovered that an apparent collision had occurred between a vehicle and pedestrian on private property.  Despite immediate medical intervention by the police and fire department, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The victim was an adult woman who was a resident of Escondido.  Escondido Police Traffic and Investigations personnel are actively investigating the circumstances of this incident and there are no arrests at this time.

Policía de Escondido Investiga Accidente Vehicular Mortal
 
ESCONDIDO – El 17 de julio de 2025, alrededor de las 9:39 p. m., la Policía y los Bomberos de Escondido respondieron a una llamada al 911 en una residencia ubicada en la cuadra 1600 de South Maple Street en Escondido. Al llegar, se descubrió que se había producido un aparente choque entre un vehículo y un peatón en una propiedad privada. A pesar de la intervención médica inmediata de la policía y los bomberos, el peatón fue declarado muerto en el lugar. La víctima era una mujer adulta residente de Escondido. El personal de Tráfico e Investigaciones de la Policía de Escondido está investigando activamente las circunstancias de este incidente y no se han realizado arrestos hasta el momento.
