* At 622 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Polk City, or 5 miles northwest of Ankeny, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near... Ankeny, Johnston, Polk City, Saylorville, Saylorville Lake, and Alleman around 625 AM CDT. Margo Frankel Woods State Park and Ankeny Regional Airport around 635 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Margo Frankel Woods State Park, Ankeny Regional Airport, Elkhart, Weh-Weh-Neh-Kee State Park, Alleman, and Big Creek State Park.
