UPDATE - Missing Elderly Man Safely Located

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, missing 90-year-old Santa Maria resident Gerald Libsack was located safely within the city and reunited with his family.

Missing At-Risk Senior – Public’s Help Needed
The Santa Maria Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man considered at-risk.
Missing: Gerald “Gerry” Libsack, 90, of Santa Maria
Description: White male, 5’11”, 172 lbs, gray hair, blue eyes
Last Seen: On foot around 3:30 AM, Sunday, July 20, 2025, near Walmart/Home Depot in southeast Santa Maria
Clothing: Black “puffy” jacket with "Fields to Table" logo, gray sweatpants, brown Ugg-style slippers
Anyone who sees Mr. Libsack or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call SMPD at (805) 928-3781 or 911 immediately.
