National Night Out 2025 is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5^th.  National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.   National Night Out was started to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. This is more important than ever, especially the need for all of us to be aware of what’s going on in our neighborhoods, given the thefts and burglaries that have occurred in our Town.  
 
Traditionally, our police officers and firefighters join neighborhood groups at gatherings in your neighborhood.  Both the Moraga Police and Moraga-Orinda Fire District would enjoy the opportunity to join with you and your neighbors to share information, fellowship, and a chance to discuss common interests.  If your neighborhood is planning a gathering for National Night Out or for more information, please contact the Moraga Police at 925-888-7055 so that we can plan to have officers and firefighters stop by and meet everyone.
 
For those who do not have a neighborhood gathering on August 5^th, the Moraga Police will also be at the Hacienda Nights event at the Hacienda de las Flores.  Please come and join us for great conversations, treats, and an opportunity to get to know some of the officers who are patrolling your neighborhoods.
