Wilmington Police arrest man on gun and drug charges: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.
On July 18, at approximately 11:05 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force were in the 100 block of South Franklin Street, when they observed a male subject illegally operating a motorized scooter. Police attempted to make contact with the male, at which time he fled the area. A short time later, police located 30-year-old Jacquez Robinson in to 200 block of South Franklin Street, and took him into custody without further incident. Police recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun, 2.76 grams of heroin, and 2.9 grams of crack cocaine.
Robinson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Two Counts
- Resisting Arrest
- Unlawful Operation of a Motorized Scooter
