LOCATION: Soquel Canyon Parkway and Golden Terrace Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709
SUSPECT(S): Vanessa Montez, 32-year-old resident of Fontana
Jose Silva, 33-year-old resident of Moreno Valley
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Saturday, July 19, 2025, at about 5:00 a.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Sheriff's Station responded to the area for the report of suspects in a silver Lexus sedan stealing mail from neighborhood mailboxes. Deputies located the vehicle, which was reported stolen in Riverside, and detained Vanessa Montez and Jose Silva. Silva and Montez were in possession of stolen mail and burglary tools.
Montez and Silva were arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of personal identifying information, and possession of burglary tools.
