Fairview Fire Rescue will be hosting a bystander CPR and Stop the Bleed class from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in the Council Chambers on the first floor of Town Hall, 372 Town Place.

It can take several minutes for first responders to arrive on scene, so knowing and using these critical skills until help arrives can significantly increase the chances of survival.

The Hands-Only CPR portion of the class focuses on teaching high quality chest compressions and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). During the Stop the Bleed portion, you will learn methods to help control major bleeding.

Please note: Completing the class does not result in any official certifications.

The number of participants is limited, so reserve your spot today. Ages 18 and older are eligible to participate.
