SUSPECT(S): Louis Guzman, age 35, resident of Moreno Valley Steven Guzman, age 30, resident of Moreno Valley
Jonathan Garcia, age 29, resident of Adelanto
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 20, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Deputy Joshwan Cobbs and Deputy Brandon Moore conducted a traffic stop on a black Mercedes-Benz for a violation of California Vehicle Code 4000(a)(1), Expired Registration. Cobbs and Moore contacted the occupants of the vehicle and learned the driver, Louis Guzman, was on felony probation and his passengers, Steven Guzman and Jonathan Garcia, had active arrest warrants.
During a search of the vehicle, Cobbs and Moore located a sawed-off shotgun and shotgun ammunition, within arm’s reach of all three occupants in the rear passenger area of the vehicle. A records check confirmed that Louis, Steven, and Jonathan were all convicted felons, legally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. Louis, Steven, and Jonathan were arrested and booked into Central Detention Center (CDC) for violation of PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 30305(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Ammunition, PC 33215, Possession of a Short-Barreled Shotgun, and PC 25400(a)(1), Carry a Concealed Firearm.
