HAY AND FEED HOTLINE
FROM COMMISSIONER SID MILLER:
The Texas Department of Agriculture’s Hay and Feed Hotline is a free, statewide digital
marketplace and resource designed to connect hay and feed buyers and sellers, transporters, and grazing land providers, especially during times of agricultural crisis. It enables users to post or search for listings of hay and feed (by type, price, quality, and organic/fertilized status), as well as transport services and pasture for lease or donation. It features integrated mapping tools to locate nearby listings and provides real‑time weather and disaster alerts, including fire ant quarantine updates, to ensure safe and compliant hay movements. In emergencies such as droughts, floods, wildfires, or hurricanes, the hotline serves as a critical disaster-relief hub, coordinating hay and feed donations and transportation.
