Wilmington Police have arrested a woman on drug charges following an investigation.
 
On July 22 at approximately 9:30 a.m., members of the Crime Gun Intelligence Center and the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division executed search warrants at two residences in the 1700 block of West 2nd Street in reference to an ongoing investigation.
 
Police took 31-year-old Tanisha Nickerson into custody without incident, and recovered 680.2 grams of marijuana, 6.21 grams of heroin, 31 Oxycodone pills, packaging materials and $682 in currency.
 
Nickerson has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts

She was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $7,000 cash-only bail.
