On 07/22/2025 around midnight, a victim reported being carjacked in the parking lot of Rancho Santa Susana Community Center. While sitting in his vehicle with a female acquaintance, they were approached by three Hispanic males wearing dark clothing and masks. The victim was forcibly pulled from his vehicle and physically assaulted. The male suspects and the female acquaintance fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Preliminary investigation suggests the female may have been complicit in the carjacking.

Around 2:00 am, the victim’s vehicle was captured on FLOCK cameras in the City of Santa Monica.  Santa Monica Police Department was able to locate the vehicle, and a pursuit was initiated but later terminated. Around 5:30 am, the vehicle was again captured on FLOCK cameras in the City of Simi Valley. Simi Valley Police Officers located the vehicle near Heywood Street and East Prather Street. The officers contacted three 17-year-old suspects (two males and one female) near the vehicle, who were residents of Simi Valley, and who were ultimately arrested for Carjacking and Conspiracy.
