LOCATION: 22000 block of Privilegio Road, Adelanto
SUSPECT(S): Omar Hernandez, 49 years of age, resident of Lynwood
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 6:22 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a 911 call in the 22000 block of Privilegio Road in Adelanto. The victim reported an unknown suspect had stolen his truck while he was asleep in the attached camper. With the help of 40K (Sheriff’s Aviation), deputies were able to locate the vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 395 and Seneca road, in Adelanto.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop but the suspect, Omar Hernandez, failed to yield, leading deputies on a pursuit. Hernandez ultimately collided into four other vehicles. He fled from the vehicle on foot but was apprehended quickly by deputies. The victim was located by deputies in the back of the vehicle and was uninjured.
Hernandez was arrested and transported to the High Desert Detention Center.
