#LASD Carson Station: Street Racing Enforcement Detail Arrests

On Saturday, July 13, 2025, Carson Sheriff’s Station in partnership with LASD Narcotics Bureau conducted a Street Racing Enforcement operation aimed at addressing the ongoing issue of illegal street racing and spectating in the City of Carson. The operation reflects the ongoing commitment of Carson Sheriff’s Station to keep our roadways and community safe. We will continue to take proactive measures to deter illegal street racing and hold individuals accountable.

As a result of the enforcement detail, the following actions were taken:

  • 11 Traffic Citations were issued.
  • 2 of the 11 were cited for modified emissions violations.
  • 19 vehicles were towed (7 were impounded for 30 days)
  • A total of 20 arrests were made.
  • 1 arrest for felony evading.
  • 17 arrests for spectating and engaging in an illegal speed contest.
  • 2 arrests for misdemeanor warrant cite outs
Captain Alise Norman, Carson Sheriff’s Station, issued the following statement:

“Let me be absolutely clear: these activities are not only illegal—they are reckless, disruptive, and deadly. They threaten the safety of every person who uses our roads, and we will not tolerate this behavior in Carson or in any of the communities we serve.

Over the past several months, our station has worked closely with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, and local officials to crack down on these illegal operations.  And our efforts are intensifying.

If you're caught racing, spectating, or filming these events, you will face consequences. We are impounding vehicles, arresting drivers and organizers, and issuing citations—and in many cases, arrests—to bystanders who enable this dangerous behavior.

We are also targeting vehicles with illegal modifications, including tampered emissions systems, loud exhausts, and unsafe alterations. If your car doesn’t meet California standards, you may lose it—temporarily or permanently.

Our message is simple: This is not a game. It’s a crime, and we will not tolerate it in Carson. If you risk lives for thrills, if you gather to glorify chaos, we will find you, we will cite and arrest you, and we will stop you.

To the responsible members of our community—thank you for your continued support.  Let’s work together to keep our roads safe. Report street racing activity to LASD Carson Station at (310) 830-1123 or call 911 in an emergency.

Stay safe and help us to keep our streets safe. Thank you.”
