The Hawthorne Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy is currently taking applications! This adult community program puts members of the community in the shoes of police officers with a series of 9 interactive classes running mostly on Tuesday nights throughout the fall season. Some classes include Motor Vehicle Stops, Active Shooter Scenarios with simunition guns, Firearms Range, and other great classes.
