* WHERE...Portions of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Central Cook, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and Southern Will and northwest Indiana, including the following area, Lake IN.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. Extensive street flooding possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving showers and thunderstorms with torrential rainfall will produce locally very heavy rainfall today. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches or more will be possible on a localized basis. This will lead to instances of flash flooding into this afternoon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
