| Camarillo Patrol deputies contacted and arrested (S) Gabriel Robert Adams and (S) Tazma Monroe for theft and narcotics related charges. On July 23, 2025, deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity involving the sale of suspected stolen merchandise from the back of a U-Haul truck in the 400 Block of East Ventura Blvd. Camarillo Patrol deputies contacted both Adams and Monroe near the U-Haul truck selling numerous power tools and other items. During the contact, deputies discovered narcotics in plain view inside the U-Haul truck. Over the course of the initial investigation, deputies suspected the power tools, bicycles, an air compressor, and mail were possibly stolen out of the Ojai Valley area. Camarillo Patrol deputies coordinated with the Ojai and Camarillo Investigations Bureau’s regarding the suspected stolen property. Investigators quickly identified numerous victims of unreported mail and property thefts from the Ojai Valley area. Detectives from the Ojai and Camarillo Investigations Bureaus worked together to identify 15 victims thus far. Many of the recovered stolen items were later returned to their rightful owners. Detectives are currently working to identify additional victims of the unclaimed recovered property. Both Adams and Monroe were booked into the Ventura County Main Jail. Monroe was booked for violations of H&S 11350(a)-Possession of a Controlled Substance, H&S 11395(b)(1)- Possession of Controlled Substance with prior convictions, PC 466- Possession of Burglary Tools, PC 496(a)- Possession of Stolen Property, and PC 530.5(a)- Identity Theft.
